most of the real estate in my brain is taken up by this one video game so expect to have this section of the library filled with by far the most content as i could truly talk about this game forever. im quite convinced i was placed on this earth to become the greatest melee player of all time and so i will truly stop at nothing until that destiny has been fulfilled. im really excited for that day to come, ive come so far already.
ive constructed this library the week before the nounsvitational so its quite an important time in my melee career (although all time is important to my melee career) ive done a lot of preparation (mostly mentally) and have had many a conversations with the big zuul about the smashy bros and im so ready to take full advantage of this experience and let my brain absorb all of the scrolls from all of the geniuses of the game that are currently greater than me. i think i might be the most talented gamer to ever do it, my tech skill has ascended to truly freakish proportions, its not gonna be very long until i am as good at pressing the buttons as the glorious schwab is.
as strange of a character mr schwab is, he is truly my hero. he managed to be goodie before goodie, so now i have to become schwab after schwab. im well on my way and my beloved boyfriend is helping me get there using his brilliant mind. in addition to turning myself into a clone of cody schwab, we have an additional project that we are calling the "ryzuulified goodie" where i absorb his mind and play with my insane tech skill abilities while also taking advantage of that mans incredible talent for manipulating people into getting their shit rocked. i think we're both pretty confident that this amalagamation would become the "best player in the world" i dont really see anyone beating a creation like that. and once we get me there i think id like to just do that for as long as i can and make an absurd amount of bread while doing so. its basically everything i can dream of, and if im being very honest. its going to happen. nobody really knows it yet but it really doesnt matter lol.
me and the zuul have come to the realisation that australia is truly "planet smash bros" somehow, despite our 2nd best player being sock (no offense) i have managed to raise myself to a level that is either approaching or on par with top 30 level players. it doesnt really make any sense how australia has managed to produce both josh and ryzuul despite being such a weak region and infinitely smaller than the usa but THERE THEY ARE and HERE I AM TOO. i think eventually the zuul is also gonna become a god of a melee player too and the highest level of smash that will be played is gonna happen on this island on the complete opposite side of the planet from the usa lol.
currently the direction im taking my play is understanding how cody schwab plays the way he does, how he takes advantage of his absurd tech skill and how i can do the same. we've established that i need to start playing at far closer ranges in order to be more like schwab as right now im a lil too scared and play in ranges that are a little unnecessarily far away from where i could be playing. there is a space in the game that we call the "schwab zone" and it is basically a space that you force your opponent into where you can, absuing my insane tech skill, restrict their options to a very limited number that makes it really easy to win the situation and then from there well we just get to explode them like its nobodies business. this vision is exactly how i wish to play the game and doing this will take me incredibly far, letting me beat just about anyone lol. while playing lately i havent really been consciously thinking about the "schwab zone" so thats probably something i should be making more of an effort to be doing. pretty much the only person i play is jacob and its pretty hard to do all that vs him coz falco lasers just lock me tf down and then i just eat a dair and its pretty annoying. im quite bad at that mu, i just mash dashback and shield and dont really do much of anything else, i dont really know how to do anything else lol. but at least i one tap falco every time he gets shined so a lot of the time it doesnt matter lmaoooo.
When i play melee i think of myself as an all seeing and all knowing god viewing the game in multiple dimensions. I can “see the future” when things happen i play out the situation in my head in an instant before it happens and then when it actually happens in game i already know what to do and i dont really have to react because i already knew the process of getting to this position. It makes it really easy for me to push all the buttons the way i do because im in complete control of the situation. I think everybody has a “melee engine” in their heads but i feel as if my engine runs on better hardware than everybody else, i think my reactions are amazing but i think a big part of it too is my ability to see into the future so clearly.
